The price seems a little excessive (for that, I took away 1 star). Download soundflower for mac mojave. But hopefully that money allows Synology to keep updating the software. Rated 1 out of 5 by T2-Texas from RIP OFF! = can double the cost / camera There are few NVRs that license by the camera. And the ones that do are Commercial / enterprise class systems. Synology Surveillance Station is a home / small business solution at best. There are dedicated DVRs on the market that are far less expensive and much higher quality product than synology Surveillance Station.
But the real problem starts when you download the PAT file and use the proprietary parts of the Synology OS on the box that wasn't licensed for it. Technically, in some countries its illegal to bypath the mechanisms that prevent you from running on a non-licensed hardware, so the bootloader would also be illegal. Thanks, I was under the impression that xpenology was leveraging open source software (or at least not completely proprietary) and not an infringement of Synology license. Is that not so?
